ABOUT / EXHIBITIONS
I first discovered art as a pupils in elementary school art class. At 18, I decided to become a photographer and began studying photography and painting at 21.

After completing my studies, I explored the topic of perception and created works with different levels of reflection. I photographed the series shown here in the South of France.

On another trip to the South of France, I visited a surrealist exhibition and was so impressed that I began to explore the topic of perception. I experimented with collages and different layers, combining them into one image.

My ongoing experimental work also found application in various portraits. My further studies in philosophy at the University of Augsburg changed my working method. During this time, I created some very provocative works.

As my work developed further, I placed more emphasis on people. However, I continued to work experimentally. The social aspect received greater attention in my more recent work. I photographed people without faces, thus with a loss of personality. A phenomenon I'm increasingly aware of. The photos in this series were created analogically, by projecting slides onto a wall of fog. Through the changes in the moving fog, I created a parallel to life, which is constantly changing within a fixed lifespan.

Currently, I'm continuing to explore the social theme of human change due to external influences. During this period, I created black-and-white portraits based on analogue photographs/negatives. Here, I show a visible change in the person, in which they have lost their personality and reveal a multi-layered, alienated face.

In my most recent works, I again use analog negatives that were scanned and further created on the computer. The influences I have processed in these portraits are the binary code (0+1) and the fragmentation of personality through artificial worlds (cities, advertising, information, and virtual experiences). I have symbolized these influences with geometric shapes that do not occur in nature. All of this leads to a fragmentation of personality.

Despite my work with different levels of perception, I love simple documentary photography. My role models include Irving Penn, Edward Steichen, Avedon, Sudek, and others. The "Hereos of Work" series and various black-and-white reportages were created in this spirit.

My AI-assisted selfies are completely new. Here, surreal events are combined with my portrait.
